Generic Bio

Graduated in Nursing, Master in Education Administration and Management and PhD in Nursing from the Catholic University of Portugal.

He worked predominantly in intensive care and as a member of the quality department. Specialist in Community Nursing, involved in several national and international research projects on nutrition, pressure ulcers and wound prevention and treatment in general.

Currently a Guest Assistant Professor at the Institute of Health Sciences - Porto and Lisbon, of the Catholic University of Portugal, being a collaborator since 2009.

He is an integrated researcher at the Interdisciplinary Health Research Center (ICES) in the Nursing Research Platform, being responsible for the Wounds Research Lab (WRL).
