International students may apply to the Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, provided they meet the eligibility requirements legally defined in the International Student Statute.

For this purpose, an international student is considered to be someone who cumulatively meets the following criteria:

  • Does not hold the nationality of a member state of the European Union;
  • Is not a direct descendant, spouse, or partner of a citizen of a member state of the European Union;
  • Has not been legally residing in Portugal for more than two consecutive years as of January 1 of the year in which they intend to enter higher education (this also applies to their spouse or parents with whom they legally reside);
  • Is not, as of January 1 of the year in which they intend to enter higher education, a beneficiary of equal rights and duties status granted under an international treaty signed between Portugal and their country of nationality.

The admission of foreign citizens who do not fall under the International Student Statute is carried out under the same conditions as those applicable to Portuguese nationals (general admission route / via 12th grade).
