The School of Nursing in Porto at Universidade Católica Portuguesa welcomed secondary school students for another edition of the Nursing Degree Open Day, an initiative dedicated to presenting the programme, the profession, and academic life at the institution.
Throughout the day, participants were welcomed at a opening session featuring presentations from the School of Nursing, the Student Association, and the Universidade Católica Portuguesa campus, providing a comprehensive overview of the academic offer and the university environment.
Prospective students also had the opportunity to learn more in detail about the structure of the degree programme, clarify questions about the academic pathway, and explore the different career opportunities associated with the field of Nursing.
The programme also included practical workshops and demonstration activities, allowing participants to engage more closely with the reality of the profession and experience some of the technical skills developed throughout the course.
This initiative aimed to provide students with an immersive and insightful experience of the Nursing field, reinforcing the School of Nursing’s commitment to community engagement and to supporting informed vocational choices.
