Learning outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
- Evidence of in-depth knowledge in promoting and maximizing the health and prevention of illness of children and young people and/or their rehabilitation, within the family and community.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills relating to the processes of growth and development of children and young people
- Know the needs of the child, young person, and family throughout their life cycle, with an emphasis on those of complexity
- Understand the process of identifying, supporting and guiding children, young people, and their families in situations of risk
- Know the legislation protecting children, young people, and their families, as well as the community's resources for support, especially in new and unfamiliar situations
- Develop skills in promoting and supporting parenthood, based on the best available evidence.
