Theoretical background and metaparadigms of pediatric nursing

Learning outcomes of the Curricular Unit:

  1. Describe the metaparadigmatic concepts of child health nursing and paediatrics;
  2. Discuss the theoretical interface of child health and paediatric nursing resulting from disciplinary research with the adequacy and transfer of knowledge in specialist care;
  3. Analyse the processes of self-care and empowerment in specific contexts of child health and paediatric nursing care;
  4. Learn about the processes of supported self-management and autonomy in specific child and paediatric health nursing care contexts, taking into account and paediatric nursing care, taking into account technological, social and cultural progress;
  5. Discuss the potentials and abilities of the child and family in specific contexts, guiding child and paediatric health nursing care, based on the best available evidence.
