Pediatric Nursing Intervention in vulnerable and complex contexts

Learning outcomes of the Curricular Unit:

  1. Critically analyse the specificities of different child/family care contexts.
  2. Reflect on the repercussions of illness and hospitalisation on the child/family, taking into account the available scientific evidence.
  3. Analyse the problems involved in caring for children/families with acute and chronic health problems, integrating the knowledge and skills needed to deal with the complex issues that arise.
  4. Deepen knowledge related to the specificities of nursing intervention with children/families in order to support evidence-based practice.
  5. Recognise healthy children and distinguish between sick and critically ill children.
  6. Know the guidelines for approaching and treating the main pathologies in Paediatrics (outpatient and inpatient).
