To the Academic Community,
Since the outbreak of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, UCP has been applying, in a proactive way, all the necessary measures for the safety of its academic community, through practices recognized by the Covid Safe Certification, obtained in its four campi.
As we prepare to slowly move out of lockdown and return to face-to-face activities, UCP has adopted the Government's recommendation to join the "Portuguese Red Cross Testing Programme - Higher Education", which will be phased starting April 12th.
From this date onwards, all members of the academic community are invited to take part in this testing programme, insuring a safe environment on campus. This tracking does not replace the mandatory safety and security behaviours, such as:
- Members of the community must not travel to campus, even for this testing, if they have symptoms compatible with this infection;
- The use of masks on campus is mandatory, both inside and outside campus buildings;
- Keep the recommended physical distance;
- Frequent hands washing/disinfecting,
and all the other procedures included in the Safety Practices Manual.
Starting on the 12th, and in a phased way as mentioned above, students, faculty and staff will receive in their e-mail boxes, specific indications on how to register for this tracking.
I call upon each individual's sense of responsibility, so that together we can continue to ensure the safety of all.
The Rector
