Following the constant concern for the safety of its community, Católica in Porto had already started the tracking on April 12 for a more restricted population that at the time was carrying out its activities at the campus.

The University adopted the recommendation of the Directorate General for Higher Education, joining to the "Portuguese Red Cross - Higher Education testing program". The generalized tracking is being coordinated and implemented by our School of Nursing.

Isabel Braga da Cruz, president of Católica in Porto, explains that "the whole process has taken place with tranquility", thanking "everyone for the way they have joined and respected the rules in force on campus" and highlighting "the extraordinary work developed by the School of Nursing". The participation on the SARS-CoV-2 UCP Tracking is voluntary, free, requiring only prior registration, through the link sent by e-mail to all the academic community.

"We rely on the collaboration of the whole community to ensure a safe campus experience" said Isabel Braga da Cruz in a statement sent to the academic community.

It is never too much to remember that on the return to face-to-face activities, the safety and protection procedures described in the Safety Practices Manual should also be adopted.

Since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, the Universidade Católica Portuguesa has been adopting all procedures for the safety of its academic community, a practice recognized by the Covid Safe Certification of our campus.
