On 29 March, the School of Nursing (Porto) at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa hosted the charity walk “Steps that Save”, bringing together students, faculty, staff, and families for a 3.5 km route that combined physical activity, social interaction, and solidarity.

The event featured a warm-up led by students and nurses, activities for the youngest participants, and a hands-on basic life support session, giving attendees the chance to learn essential first aid skills in a safe and educational setting.

At the same time, the walk supported the Cáritas Diocesana do Porto, collecting new underwear and monetary donations. The initiative was sponsored by the Grupo de Farmácias Cruz&Reis.

“Steps that Save” stood out for the enthusiasm of its participants and its positive impact on the community, underlining the School’s role in promoting health, knowledge, and solidarity.
