Since then, she has grown steadily in this field, shaping a career marked by dedication, experience in highly demanding settings, and the consolidation of her work in athlete care. It is therefore with great pleasure that we share another important milestone in her professional journey: her integration into the Women’s National Under-23 Team, within the Portuguese Football Federation.
In her testimonial, Inês Pires Moreira highlights the decisive impact that this programme had on her professional development: “The Postgraduate Programme in Sports Nursing was a turning point in my professional path. It was through this programme that I had the opportunity to undertake an internship in a high-performance sports environment, which ultimately became my gateway into this field.
This experience allowed me to join a highly competitive club, where for one year I was able to learn, gain experience, and demonstrate my work in supporting athletes.
I believe this journey was fundamental to the opportunities that arose afterwards, including the recent invitation to join this international context within the Portuguese Football Federation, more specifically the Women’s National Under-23 Team.
If I had to summarise the impact of this postgraduate programme, I would say it was the step that allowed me to turn a professional goal into a reality. It was a very important investment in my career and a decision I would make again without hesitation.”
