Faculty member of Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde e Enfermagem da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Amélia Ferreira, Director of Nursing at the Matosinhos Local Health Unit, she participated in the National Meeting of Chief Nurses of the Portuguese National Health Service (SNS), held on 10 July at the Santa Maria Local Health Unit in Lisbon. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Health, Ana Paula Martins.
contributions presented by the Chief Nurses from the various Local Health Units across the country. The meeting also included the participation of the President of the Portuguese Order of Nurses, Luís Filipe Barreira, who joined the opening session and the discussion on the main challenges facing the nursing profession and the Portuguese National Health Service (SNS).
The meeting provided an important opportunity to share experiences, reflect on current issues, and discuss solutions and best practices to address the challenges faced by healthcare institutions. It also reinforced collaboration among nursing leaders and supported the continuous improvement of the quality of care provided.
Amélia Ferreira's participation in this meeting highlights the active role of the faculty members of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in key forums shaping the future of Nursing and the Portuguese National Health Service.
