The School of Nursing (Porto) at Universidade Católica Portuguesa welcomed Professor Idevania Costa and researcher Lise Lozier, from Lakehead University (Canada), on 16 and 17 June, for a technical mobility visit aimed at strengthening the academic and scientific collaboration between the two institutions.

The visit included a series of initiatives for the School's faculty, fostering knowledge exchange, reflection on innovative practices, and the identification of new opportunities for international cooperation.

On 16 June, a working meeting was held focusing on postgraduate education, partnership development, and the identification of future areas of collaboration between the School of Nursing and Lakehead University.

The following day featured the workshop "Digital Storytelling (DST): A Tool for Patient Engagement and Knowledge Mobilization", led by Professor Idevania Costa and Lise Lozier. The session explored the principles of Digital Storytelling as a participatory research methodology, highlighting how patients' narratives can be transformed into powerful tools for education, citizen engagement, and the development of health policies.

The workshop also presented practical applications of this methodology in health education, patient engagement, and clinical practice, providing participants with valuable insights into innovative approaches to research and teaching.

This visit further reinforces the commitment of the School of Nursing at Universidade Católica Portuguesa to internationalisation, educational innovation, and the development of collaborative networks that contribute to excellence in nursing education, research, and practice.
